Reneé O’Connor made a name for herself playing the role of Gabrielle, Xena’s trusted sidekick on the popular series from 1996-2001. The scene stealing role created a huge worldwide fan base, one still active in countless websites dedicated to the actress and this signature series.

She launched her own film production company ROC Productions, INC in 2001 for producing original film and television projects under the banner ROC Pictures.

Her first independent production, a romantic comedy, Diamonds and Guns was released on DVD in January 2008. She wrote, directed, and produced the award winning short film, Words Unspoken in 2010.

Renee has starred in several independent films including this year’s Beyond The Farthest Star, the anticipated release from Pathlight Entertainment. Available now on DVD from Osiris Entertainment is the supernatural feature film, Deadrise, by Michigan Filmmaker of the year, Rich Brauer.

Prior to her breakout role, Reneé lived in Texas and began her professional film career at the age of 17, starring in the serial Teen Angel, a regular feature on the Disney Channel’s The Mickey Mouse Club. Other credits include the Disney film, The Adventures of Huck Finn with Elijah Wood; television movies such as Follow the River with Ellen Burstyn, Danielle Steele’s Changes, and co-starring with James Garner in his second Rockford Files reunion movie; independent films Boogeyman 2 with Tobin Bell, Alien Apocalypse with Bruce Campbell to name a few.

Reneé’s talent extends well beyond the big screen or the small screen. Also an acclaimed stuntwoman, Reneé is proficient in several forms of martial arts and the use of martial arts weapons, which includes, the Nunchaku, Bo-Staff, and the Sai. Additionally, she is a talented artist and has auctioned off paintings for charities as well as to help finance projects under her production company.

As a passionate voice for unifying and raising consciousness, Renee has been a featured public speaker with the Ellie Drake and ‘Braveheart Women’ community; one of the 2010 nominees for the Los Angeles Business Journal’s ‘Women Making A Difference’ Awards; a featured speaker for the recent ‘100 Women of Destiny’ Tele-Retreat celebrating the 100th Year of International Women’s Day, alone with transformative international speakers Michael and Rickie Beckwith, Ricki Lake, and Mallika Chopra. She facilitates an Awareness seminar to assist in the personal growth of gifted adults as an affiliation with the Rocamora School in Los Angeles. Her website is www.iAmAware.info.
