Dallas-area residents will have a chance to be the first to preview a faith-based film shot locally and starring big names from the Lone Star State Friday night, as Cinemark West Plano will show a preliminary screening of "Beyond the Farthest Star," a film confronting the hardships of growing up and raising a family.
The locally written, produced and filmed movie will be showing at the theater, located at 3800 Dallas Parkway. Showings are also available at theaters in Southlake and Greenville.
Written and directed by Andrew Librizzi, "Star" is rated PG-13 and features Renee O'Connor ("Xena," "Ark," Boogeyman 2), Todd Terry ("Breaking Bad," "Arlington Road") and Barry Corbin ("No Country for Old Men," "Anger Management").
