So when Renee O'Connor walked down the purple carpet at a Sci Fi
Channel party last summer, she probably didn't expect anything but
polite hellos from the reporters on the line. She was promoting some
new project, but really, the only thought going through my
primordial fangirl brain was "It's Gabrielle!" (You know, the trusty
sidekick to Xena, Warrior Princess!) I had recently watched some
first-season Xena episodes at Amazon Video On Demand, so I was eager
to talk about a show that became such a blast to the zeitgeist ...
sheesh, was it really 13 years ago? Anyway, Renee may look a little
scared during this interview. Perhaps that's because I greeted her
by singing a few bars of "Joxer the Mighty," thereby proving myself
to be not just a fan, but one of those obsessive types. Anyway,
here's what she had to say about the show and its impact on her and

in January Lucy held her
Country style concert. I was there for that and it was
great! Sharon has posted the latest news about the upcoming DVD
release of that concert by Creation.
That was the concert that saw Renee singing with Lucy - for someone
who claims she can't sing, Renee did an AWESOME job.

Jed Sura (Renee's other half) has a video mocumentary up on YouTube
which is in
two parts. Whilst the first part is someone amusing - poor guy who
wants to be a jock but isn't cut out for it - the second part is the
interesting bit. Young Iris makes her "acting" debut. Now there's a
gorgeous little girl. She stars with her dad as part of his "team".
Very cute.

Autograph Sessions at 2009 Xena Con |

 The
2009 Xena Convention Schedule Added has been posted by Creation.
In addition to the schedule, Renee will be signing autographs for
those wishing to buy tickets.
Creation has stated on their website:
Limited number available. Ms. O'Connor's in-person autograph is
not part of any package and must be purchased separately.
Renee's Photo Ops will be taken Sunday morning (which is a change
from Saturday as previously announced), she is also appearing on
stage and doing autographing on Sunday.
