Xena: Warrior Princess 20 years later: The cast and creators look back

Two decades have passed since television viewers were introduced to the fun, campy and emotional Xena: Warrior Princess. Yet if the response from passionate Xenites to news of a possible reboot showed us anything this year, it’s that Xena’s legacy and fanbase have remained strong since the show premiered on Sept. 4, 1995.

Xena’s story began before she received her own series, however, when her character appeared as a villain on Hercules: The Legendary Journeys. She received such a positive response that discussions of a spinoff led to her being chosen to helm the new show. Her story of seeking redemption by helping others as she turned from her ruthless, evil ways would help set her apart from Hercules. According to Steven Sears, a writer and producer for Xena’s first five seasons, Hercules was like their big brother. It was their launching pad, and the success of Hercules was one of the reasons Xena had a chance and was able to become successful. The team knew, however, that they didn’t want to be another Hercules.

Awareness is the practice of paying attention to thoughts and emotions with sincere curiosity and withholding any judgments or expectations on what we are truly feeling. This two hour introductory class includes observing our conceptualizations of the Self, as a contrast to realizing our natural essence of Being love, compassion, and light.
The workshop price is $125. Bring a printed receipt with you.

New Renee Interview with Kinetics Magazine

Renee O'Connor made a name for herself when she resided in Auckland, New Zealand, playing the role of Gabrielle, Xena's trusted sidekick on the popular series from 1995-2001. The role created a huge worldwide fan base, one still active in countless websites dedicated to the actress and this signature series.

Since 2001, Renee has starred in several independent films including this year's Beyond The Farthest Star, the anticipated theatrical release from Pathlight Entertainment.

Currently, Renee writes, directs, and produces award winning short films and new media, with the mission of elevating personal and interpersonal awareness through entertainment.

As a passionate voice for unifying and raising consciousness, Renee facilitates international Awareness Seminars to assist in the personal growth of gifted adults as an affiliation with the Rocamora School in Los Angeles; as well as a featured public speaker with Ellie Drake's 'Braveheart Women' community; one of the 2010 and 2012 nominees for the Los Angeles Business Journal's 'Women Making A Difference' Awards; a featured speaker for the '100 Women of Destiny' Tele-Retreat celebrating the 100th Year of International Women's Day.

This Introductory class will be a short three hour segment which will highlight the feeling within our Awareness of a state of Presence, then continue by looking at the keys to sustaining this feeling.
